Starting and finishing at The Ocoee Whitewater Center, site of the 1996 Olympic whitewater competition, will be a
13.1 mile trail run on some of the most challenging and beautiful trails in the Cherokee National Forest.  The
course offers nearly 5000 vertical feet of climbing on single and double track.  The White Water Center is located
on the Ocoee Scenic Byway (U.S. 64) about 5 miles west of Ducktown, Tenn. Just 2 hours from Atlanta and 1.5
hours from Chattanooga.  Campsites are available on first come basis.    
   
Time:   9:00am ½ marathon race starts. 5K starts at 9:15am.  Registration and packet pick up begin at 6:30am at
the White Water Center. Rest rooms are available as well as outdoor grills and picnic areas.  

Registration Fee: 1/2 marathon $25.00. $30.00 race day. 5K is $15.00 pre registration and $20.00 race day. Pre
registration cut off date is Friday September 14th.  Proceeds will help park improvements and maintenance.
There is a parking fee of $3.00 per vehicle.  Breakfast available for $5.00.

Awards:  Overall male & female, Masters male & female, Grandmasters male & female
Male & female 19 and under; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-59; 60 and over.

T-shirts will be given to all pre-registered entries. Any left over will be available for race day registration
participants on a first come, first served basis.

From Atlanta: Take I-75 North to I-575, which will change 515. In Blue Ridge turn left onto Hwy 5 at McDonalds.
Take Hwy 5 through McCaysville, Ga. As you cross the river bridge you will cross into Copperhill, Tennessee, turn
left at a stop sign onto Hwy 68. Proceed about 5 miles on Hwy 68.  The road will open to 4 lanes. Look for signs to
the Ocoee River, exit right onto Hwy 64 west. OWWC is about 5 miles on left.
From Chattanooga: I-75 north to Cleveland, exit 20 Cleveland bypass. Right on bypass for 6 miles and exit Ocoee
Hwy 64 east. OWWC is about 35 miles from Cleveland past lower whitewater rafting put-in. Ocoee gorge drive is
slow mountain roads. Please allow more time.
